President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Sunday visited ailing Road, Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
According to a spokesperson at the Prime Minister's Office, Sheikh Hasina, after attending a Bangladesh Army program in Rajshahi, straight went to the BSMMU from the helipad at about 3:40 pm to see Quader who is undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital following a cardiac arrest.
The spokesperson said the prime minister stayed at the hospital for over half an hour and inquired about the health condition of the AL general secretary from the doctors.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and BSMMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanak Kanti Barua were, among others, present.

The President went to BSMMU at 4:17pm visited Quader at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
Abdul Hamid talked to doctors and enquired about the minister's health condition.
He left the hospital around 4:38pm.

He was diagnosed with three blockages in his coronary artery, the BSMMU VC said.
The minister was first taken to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at 8.30 am and then shifted to the CCU at BSMMU, Senior Public Relation Officer Abu Naser of Roads and Highways Division said.
