Police have recovered 14 objects, which appear to be bombs, from the roof of a building at Kalampur in Dhaka’s Dhamrai.
Police said Jashim Uddin, owner of the two-storey building, found the objects wrapped in a polythene bag Thursday evening and contacted them.
Police and a firefighting unit went to the spot and recovered the objects. Seven of them appeared to be improvised bombs and others seemed to be petrol bombs, said Dipak Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Dhamrai police station.
The objects have been sent to the bomb disposal unit in Dhaka. No one was arrested in this connection.
