Eight suspected member of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been detained from different areas of Dhaka.
The detainees are members of JMB’s Radical Youth Group.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) 1 and 2 conducted drive in Kalabagan, Bashundhara and Mohammadpur areas and detained the suspected militants.
Books on extremist views, a laptop and mobile phone were recovered during the drive, said a SMS issued by RAB on Monday morning.
Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
