The Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have filed 3,718 cases against different modes of vehicles and collected around Tk29.31 lakh in fine for traffic rule violation.
In simultaneous drives on the city streets conducted on Friday, 395 cases were lodged for driving on the wrong side, 68 for using hydraulic horn, five for using hotter and beckon light and 20 others for using tinted glass, report BSS.
Police has also filed 956 cases against motorcycles and seized 86 others for violating traffic laws.
Furthermore, the DMP has dumped 29 vehicles and destroyed 572 othersduring their drives around the city.
