The doctor said his blood pressure had dropped sharply
AL General Secretary and Road Minister Obaidul Quader visited Political Adviser to the prime minister HT Imam at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at the Dhaka Cantonment.
Imam fell ill while attending an event in Sirajganj on Wednesday and was immediately flown to Dhaka.
The minister visited him yesterday morning and inquired about his overall treatment, reports UNB.
Quader spent some time at the hospital and instructed the attending doctors to ensure his proper medical treatment. He also prayed for his early recovery.
Sirajganj Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Saiful Islam told our correspondent that a medical team was sent to the Ullapara upazila after HT Imam fell ill during the inauguration of two schools.
The doctor said his blood pressure had dropped sharply.
Then a team of three doctors from CMH led by Dr Lt Col Yusuf then arrived by helicopter and examined Imam at his village home in Sontala.
His son and local MP Tanveer Imam told reporters that the helicopter carried him to CMH in Dhaka for better treatment.
Tanveer said his father was feeling slightly better at the time.
