DU students to draw alpona to welcome PM on campus

The Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) briefed the press about the matter on Thursday

The Dhaka University (DU) Combined Students Union will draw alponas on the roads from the Dhaka Secretariat to Ruqayyah Hall on the university campus, to welcome Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday.

The Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) briefed the press about the matter on Thursday. DU Chhatra League Unit President Sonjit Chandra Das read out a written statement there. He said Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 7th March building of Ruqayyah Hall.

Sonjit said: “The organizers of the program will start drawing the alponas from Friday.”

The combined alliance was formed on last Wednesday with 20 Dhaka University (DU) TSC-centric  social and cultural organizations, and the Bangladesh Chattra League.

Chhatra League DU Unit General Secretary, Saddam Hussein, DU Debating Society(DUDS) General Secretary, Asad Mir, and Drama Troupe President, Sanwarul Haque Sani, were present among others at the press conference.
