Workers of several ready-made garment factories on Friday demonstrated in Dhaka demanding disbursement of salary and festival bonus seven days before the Eid-ul-Azha.
Hundreds of workers and their leaders gathered in front of the National Press Club around 11 am, reports UNB.
Organized by Garment Workers Front, the workers also held a rally and brought out a procession there.
They also demanded announcement of Tk18,000 as minimum wage for the workers in the RMG sector.
Ahsan Habib Bulbul, president of the Garment Workers Front, addressed the rally.
They also urged the government to take necessary steps to ensure payment of Eid bonus and salary.
