A number of celebrities took to the streets to join the cause of the students

Small screen actors and musicians took to the streets on Thursday joining the protest launched by school and college students demanding road safety and justice.

The protests began in Dhaka and spread all over the country after two 12th graders were run over and killed by a passenger bus on the capital's Airport Road on Sunday.

Students of school and colleges have been protesting for five days now, having finally lost their patience with perpetual indiscipline and corruption in the road transport system.

I was stunned to see how’s this little kids doing an amazing job, there was lots of famous people or educated people who tried to protest several times in many aspects, but no one ever did anything in such organised way!! These kids proved they are much more mature than our law enforcement agencies! And their actions ensured us a bright future of Bangladesh! [sic]”
