Police say the body bore some injury marks

Police have recovered the body of a man in Dhaka’s Banani on early Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Rashed, 38, an unemployed Mohakhali local.

Banani police station's Sub-Inspector Shahin Alam said locals spotted the body around 5am on Sunday and informed police of the matter.

Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body, which bore several injury marks, he said.

Dhaka Medical College morgue sources said two bullets were recovered from the deceased’s body during autopsy.

SI Shahin said an investigation is underway.

Deceased’s brother-in-law Sayed Ahmed Shohel told the Dhaka Tribune that Rashed lives with him and his wife in Mohakhali school road area.

”Rashed left the house on Saturday afternoon. He did not return home that night. We received the news of his death in the morning. We do not know anything about who killed him or why he was killed”, he said.
