Terming the attack on Dhaka University vice-chancellor’s residence as barbaric, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said the attackers will not be spared.
Obaidul, also the road transport and bridges minister, made the statement while talking to reporters after visiting the vice-chancellor’s residence Tuesday morning.

“Investigation is underway. The attackers won’t be spared in any way,” the minister said.
Amid demonstrations in Shahbagh and adjacent areas for quota reform, some unknown attackers entered the vice-chancellor’s residence and vandalized it early Monday.
The attackers also set fire to two vehicles parked inside the residence.

Quader said some of the attackers have been identified. “Others will be identified soon,” he added, reports Bangla Tribune.
Dhaka Metropolitan Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, who was accompanying the minister, said the attackers had been identified from CCTV footage.
