Inter-school drama festival held at Scholastica
A two-day inter-school drama festival has been held at the STM Hall in Scholastica school's Senior Section in Uttara, Dhaka. Some of the capital's popular schools and colleges participated in the festival that concluded on March 24. Participants from Scholastica Senior Section staged “Sowat,” a drama based on the 1971 Liberation War written by Mamunur Rashid and directed by a group of teachers of the school. Students from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College presented “Abol Tabol,” a humorous compilation by Shukumar Roy, directed by Evan Reaz. On the opening day, students from Notre Dame College performed “Muktir Shandhane,” written and directed by Md Akhteruzzaman. Participants from Turkish Hope School won the audience over with their brilliant rendition of “Khapa Pagoler Pachal” written by Solaiman Hossain and directed by Shaheen Hossain. Scholastica's Principal Brig Gen (retd) Kaiser Ahmed and Senior Vice Principal Sabina Mostafa spoke and expressed their gratitude on both days.
