No one will know exactly how many sets of questions papers will be prepared for the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said on Monday.
Speaking at the freshers' reception program orgnized by Jalalabad Chhatra Kalyan Samity at Dhaka University, the education minister also sought cooperation from parents and guardians of the HSC candidates on preventing question leaks, advising them to remain vigilant.
"Many of the question leakers are spreading false information about question papers. Be careful about them. Do not push your children toward a dark future by encouraging them to get an unfair advantage using leaked questions," he said.
"In an era of developing technology, it is difficult to say whether questions are being leaked or not. Students should utilize the good aspects of technology and avoid the bad ones. They have to make the right choice to be good individuals,” Nahid further said.
He also warned that those who are found involved with question leaks would be punished severely.
About 150 students from Sylhet district were handed scholarships by the organizers at the event.
Former director general of Bangladesh Information and Communication Technology Affairs Department Banmali Bhowmik, former inspector general of police Syed Bazlul Karim, and Bangladesh Chhatra League General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain attended the program, among others.
