The road from Tejgaon’s Satrasta to Kawran Bazar has been renamed to “Mayor Annisul Huq Sarak” in Dhaka.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Public Relations Officer ASM Mamun confirmed the matter to the media on Sunday.
He said: “In the 21st DNCC board meeting held on December 11, 2017, the decision was made to change the name Satrasta-Kawran Bazar Road to Mayor Annisul Huq Sarak.
“Baridhara Park Road has been renamed to Norodom Sihanuk Sarak and Gulshan 2 Rajuk Central Park has been renamed Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Smriti Park.”

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq passed away in a London hospital at the age of 65 on November 30, last year.
He died in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Wellington Hospital around 10:23pm BdST.
Annisul served many roles in his lifetime - television personality, businessman and politician – and excelled in every single one of his endeavours.
