Sanjeeb Utshob observed at DU

The sixth Sanjeeb Utshob was held at the TSC premises in Dhaka University on Monday in memory of late singer Sanjeeb Chowdhury. He was one of the two leading members of the Bangla band Dalchhut with Bappa Mazumder. The Sanjeeb Utshob Udjapon Parishad organized a concert at Sanjeeb Chattar where bands and musicians inside and outside the campus performed on his 55th birthday. The participants were Joy Shahriar, Tarun, Sandhi, Sovvota, Chitkar, Gaan Kabi, Arjan, Sina Hasan and Bangla Five, Purple Rain, Anuron, and Khhepa in association with Ajob Karkhana, DU Cultural Society and DU Band Society. The program started at 4pm on Monday and ended at 9pm. Sanjeeb graduated from Dhaka University's Mass Communication and Journalism Department and was also worked as a journalist for newspapers like Ajker Kagoj, Bhorer Kagoj and Jaijaidin. He was actively involved during the mass uprising against the autocratic regime of Hussain Muhammad Ershad.
