Three days of rain inundated many major roads in the capital

The Fire Service operated rafts for commuters in three spots around the city on Saturday to help them pass through waterlogged areas.

Three days of incessant rain inundated many parts of the capital, causing immense suffering to the citizens trying to make daily commute.

Fire Service Director General Brig Gen Ali Ahmed Khan told Bangla Tribune that firemen had worked all day at the three spots to help people out in this crisis.

“Our men worked all day in the rain to reduce the suffering of the people,” he said.

Firemen dragged the rafts on foot with passengers sitting in them.

Fire Service officials said the rafts were operated in Motijheel and Notre Dame College area, Karwan Bazar and Shewrapara.
