Unilever BizMaestros 2017, a real life business competition, is set to begin on October 1 at Dhaka. The online registration for the competition will be open until September 30.
The month-long real-life business competition is a platform for final-year undergraduate students to work on numerous business challenges.
Unilever organised a session for the students at North South University where the company's Human Resource Director Kunal Sharma, Activation Manager Fardina Habib and Management (HR) Trainee Fariha Haque disclosed the details of the competition.
Twelve universities will participate in the competition, which will be conducted on their respective campuses. The competition seeks high-potential talents with leadership and organisational skills.
The winners of this competition will gain the opportunity to participate at Unilever’s global competition “Unilever Future Leader’s League 2017” in London.
“BizMaestros is aimed at creating a platform to showcase the potential of young talents. It promises participants the thrill of real business, the opportunity to work on real problems, real brands and creates a real impact. It is not only about career building but also about talent hunting,” said Fariha Haque, an alumni of Bizmaestros from NSU.
Launched in 2010, Unilever BizMaestros has become increasingly popular and competitive among graduating students of different universities.
Throughout the BizMaestros sessions, the participants will be building networks with the top-level employees of Unilever Bangladesh, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.
The participating teams will have to find a functional solution to a given case based on the challenges of branding a new Unilever product, combining highly futuristic campaigns, social media actions, audio visuals and augmented reality concepts.
The winning team will be chosen among a short-list of three best teams based on their unique innovations by the judges during the grand finale session.
The month-long competition will end on October 25.
