10 injured in Dhaka accident
At least 10 people have been injured in a collision between a bus and lorry at Dhaka’s Manik Mia Avenue. Sher-e-Bangla Nagor police station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Aminul Islam said the incident took place around 2:15am on Sunday in front of the building of the retail chain Aarong in Asad Gate. He said a Cox’s Bazar-bound Shyamoli Paribahan bus turned upside down after being rammed by a lorry and fell over a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving 10 passengers injured. Aminul said the injured were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital. "Three to four of the injured were in critical condition and were admitted in the hospital. The passengers who were not injured started for Cox’s Bazar when another Shyamoli Paribahan bus reached the spot," Aminul added. Police have seized the bus and lorry.
