The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested 35 dope gang members, hijackers and fake DB members from various areas in Dhaka on Thursday.
“The criminals were arrested from different areas including Kamalapur and Karwan Bazar during a two-day long drive based on a tip-off,” Joint Commissioner of DB Abdul Baten confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune.
They are known to operate over Eid, snatching money and other valuables from people. DB police will continue their drive during the Eid vacation.

Earlier on June 11, DB police detained 11 suspected members of dope gangs from diverse areas in Dhaka.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB team conducted raids in the areas and arrested six hijackers and eight fake DB members. They also recovered two toy pistols and one knife.
