A government conference has been held at Dhaka’s Azimpur Government Girls’ School and College, a venue of the ongoing SSC examination, on Sunday- a scheduled test day.
A day-long conference, organised by Directorate of Secondary and Higher education (DSHE), of government college principals started at 9am while the test on “Bangladesh o Biswa Porichoy” began at 10am.
Although the government had issued section 144, which prohibits gathering five or more persons, around the SSC exam venue during the exams to provide a sound atmosphere for the examinee, the conference was held inside the school premises.
Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid joined the programme at 2pm as the chief guest.
Director General of DSHE professor Wahiduzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune: “We were well aware of today’s exam. So, all of us gathered into the school auditorium by 8:30am”
“The students did not face any problem due to the programme,” he added.
