PM inaugurates 321 uplift schemes

At the event, senior Awami League leader Mirza Azam gifted the PM with a locally-made muslin saree

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has participated, via video-conference from Ganabhaban, in an event laying  the foundation stones of 321 development projects across the country. 

She opened the event for 321 uplift schemes across 56 districts under 21 ministries on Thursday morning, reports BSS.

At the function, senior Awami League leader Mirza Azam gifted the PM a traditional muslin saree , produced by the local weavers. 

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu, Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque, Railways Minister Md Mazibul Haque, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, and Post and Telecommunications and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar were present at the ceremony.

The PM’s Advisers Dr Towfique-e-Elahi Chowdhury and Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury; State Minister for Health Zahid Maleq; State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu; State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Shikdar; State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Moshiur Rahman Ranga; State Minister for Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam; Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif; parliament members and secretaries concerned and senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) were also in attendance.

The plan includes: 17 projects under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, 31 projects under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, two under the Ministry of Health, 98 projects under the Ministry of Home Affairs, 11 projects under the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry, six projects under the Ministry of Public Works, three schemes under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, one scheme under the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and ICT, 112 schemes under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, four projects under the Ministry of LGRD, three schemes under the Ministry of Information, two schemes under the Ministry of Railways, five projects under the Ministry of Education, 13 projects under the Ministry of Water Resources, two schemes under the Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Resources, and one under BEPZA.
