Charge framing hearing starts April 22
A Dhaka tribunal on Wednesday accepted the charge-sheet filed against Baul singer Rita Dewan and two others in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad Ash-Shams Jaglul Hossain took the charges into cognizance in the presence of the three accused.
Two other accused are Shahjahan, 45, and Md Iqbal Hossain, 48, owners of the YouTube channels Kokil TV and Channel Rupali HD.
The tribunal also set April 22 for the hearing of charge framing against the accused in the case.

Earlier on January 13, the tribunal granted bail to Rita and two others after the accused surrendered before the court and sought bail in the case.
On December 2 last year, the court issued arrest warrants against three persons, including Baul singer Rita Dewan, in the case.
On October 29, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Inspector Sheikh Md Mizanur Rahman, who is also the IO of the case, filed the probe report against the accused.
Imrul Hasan, a member of the Dhaka Bar Association, filed the case under the Digital Security Act on February 2.
The judge then directed the PBI to investigate the allegations and submit a report.
