A five-year-old child has been hacked to death allegedly over a family feud at the Bilaschhara Tea Garden of Sreemangal upazila, Moulvibazar.
The deceased, Rimon Ghar, 5, -- son of a local tea garden worker Shiblal Ghar-- went missing on Tuesday noon and was found dead by some workers at the garden later that day, police confirmed.
Md Ashrafuzzaman, senior assistant superintendent of police-- who was inspecting the spot after being informed by the locals-- said: “We are suspecting a family feud behind this murder. We will comment on the matter after the investigation.
“We arrested one person regarding the murder. Multiple murderers can be involved in the crime. We will disclose the case details after the investigation,” said Inspector Md Sohel Rana of Sreemangal police station.
