At least 10 people have been killed so far, in the refugee camps, including Rohingya leader Arifullah, due to conflicts
A Rohingya youth named Mohammad Alam, 30, was murdered in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar on Sunday.
The incident took place at the Kutupalong Madhuchara camp.
The deceased was the son of Nurul Alam, a resident of the Rohingya camp.
Police have arrested two Rohingya youths on charges of involvement in the murder. They are Enamul Haque, son of Ashan Sharif and Md Idris, son of Abdur Rahman, of the camp.
Confirming the incident, Cox’s Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police Afruzul Tutul said: “Emamul had a love affair with Mohammad’s wife. But she left her to marry Mohammad, which Enamul could not accept.”
“So, Enamul and his associate, for this reason, murdered Mohammad by choking him to death,” he said.
Later, police recovered the body from the scene.
