Shajol Chowdhury, owner of several businesses including a ship breaking venture in Chittagong, has returned home a week after being abducted.
The businessman was taken from Bashundhara residential area on March 11.
Around 12pm on Sunday Shajol returned home.
“I was put in a car around 10pm last night. They dropped me off near a mosque in Comilla’s Daudkandi upazila 10 minutes before the fajr prayer (around 6am),” Shajol Chowdhury told the Dhaka Tribune.

On March 11, Shajol was kidnapped from his rented flat in the Bashundhara residential area, where he lived with his mother and son.
His mother Diluara Begum said they were preparing to shift houses to Uttara on the day of the incident.
