Eight held with 500,000 Yaba pills in Cox’s Bazar  
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested eight people along with 500,000 Yaba pills, worth around Tk20 crore, from the Bay of Bengal in Cox’s Bazar. They are Md Kalu Majhee, Md Rafique, (1), Md Rafique (2), Md Hassan, Hasmat Ali, Nurul Alam, Md Nasir, and Mojibul Islam – all residents of Gahira area in Raozan upazila of Chittagong. They were arrested on Friday. “Acting on a tip-off, a RAB team, led by Lt Col Miftah Uddin Ahmed, intercepted a trawler in the Bay of Bengal and arrested them while they were heading towards Myanmar with the Yaba pills,”   RAB 7 Company Commander Maj Md Ruhul Amin told the Dhaka Tribune. He added that they were taking legal actions against the arrested people.
