No extortion in the name of donation for Padma Bridge

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has issued a notice that says no order was passed to receive any donation in the name of Padma bridge development from primary school students.

Recently, a fake notice saying that students need to send a donation of Tk5 for the development of Padma bridge has become viral on social media.

A general diary (GD) has been filed in the associated police station.

The mass notice signed by Md Rezaul Karim, assistant secretary (Budget and Audit) of the ministry was published on September 25. It read that the fake notice published on September 19 had his forged signature. The fake notice asked students to send in donations of Tk5 to the head accountant of the Prime Minister office at Dutch Bangla account SHAH ALAM: 70170150530 by October 10.

The mass notice also says that such derogatory order was a conspiracy and act of selfish individuals. The notice of the ministry also requested everyone to not take any initiative regarding the fake order.
