On September 3, a video of a dog being pushed from the edge of a bridge with the caption “W H O. L E T S T H E D O G S O U T” by a teenager went viral on Facebook.
Nion Alam Joy as his Facebook username suggests is a student of Ideal College, Dhanmondi.
The video shows the boy walking over the bridge as a companion with a camera follows him. As he crosses a dog, he points to a space near the edge of the bridge.
He takes charge and kicks its stomach with his right leg while holding the railing with his left hand.
The dog slips helplessly and hurriedly swims to the edge. Nion laughs, puts his hands up and celebrates his victory while accompanied by his friends in joy. The video has the song Who let the dogs out of Baha Men playing in the background.

The offender in question went on posting the video in multiple Facebook groups and has been applauded by many in the comment section.
The post currently has been view 18,000 times and has 94 shares with varying degree of captions, both condemning and commending the act. In the status followed, he celebrates his views on video.
Over the past couple of months, videos of animal abuse have been circulating on social media. The videos are recorded and posted by abusers or their friends with zero sign of remorse.
