RAB nabs 3 kidnappers, rescues minor from Narayanganj

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three members of a kidnapping gang and rescued a minor from Naraynaganj’s Bhulta. The arrestees are- Md Borhan Uddin alias Rana, 27, his wife Mst Sharifa, 20 and their associate Sohel Ahmed alias Sohag, 24. "RAB team arrested Borhan and Sohel during a drive in Mohammadpur. Later as per their information, RAB men rescued the abducted child and arrested Sharifa from Narayanganj’s Bhulta," RAB 11 Assistant Director Shah Md Moshiur Rahman said. "Sharifa abducted the minor named Nayan, 4, from Comilla’s Muradnagar upazila on July 31. She brought the kid to Narayanganj’s Bhulta, while Sohel and Borhan demanded Tk1 lakh ransom from Nayan’s family over the phone. "They also threatened to kill the minor in case his family would act otherwise. Victim’s maternal grandfather Akkas Mia filed a case in this connection with Comilla’s Muradnagar police station on August 2," the RAB official added.
