3 held for kidnapping Bangladeshis in Libya

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has detained three people for allegedly kidnapping Bangladeshis in Libya. The identities of the detainees could not be ascertained yet. CID Additional Deputy Commissioner (Organised crime) Minhazul Islam confirmed the matter Tuesday morning. He said: “They were detained from Shibchar area of Madaripur district. The detainees collected ransom from the family members of the kidnapped Bangladeshis through bKash and bank accounts. “A money laundering case has been filed against them.” Details will be disclosed at a press briefing later in the day.
