Woman’s body found at Dhaka hotel
A woman, whose slaughtered body was found in a hotel room in Abdullahpur under Uttara West police station in Dhaka, was killed by her husband, Jatrabari Officer-in-Charge Anisur Rahman has confirmed. The husband is currently on the run, the OC told the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, police recovered her slaughtered body from the Abdullahpur hotel. The woman mentioned her name as Pushpa in the guest register while boarding the hotel with a man and a child on Monday afternoon, Uttara West police station Officer-in-Charge Ali Hossain Khan said. The hotel staffs did not get any response from the room despite several calls on Tuesday morning. They then found Pushpa’s body after breaking open the door. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination, said the OC. The man and the child could not be traced as of filling the story. "We are investigating the incident," the OC added.
