A case has been filed against seven to eight unnamed people over Friday’s suicide bomb attack at Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) barrack adjacent to Ashkona Hajj Camp in Dhaka.
“RAB Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman filed the case with Airport police station under Anti-Terrorism Act on Friday night,” OC Nure Azam Miah confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune on Saturday morning.

A suicide bomber trespassed into the RAB barrack crossing the wall during Jumma prayer and blew himself up when RAB men challenged him on Friday afternoon.
Two of RAB officials were also injured in the attack.
The assault – which occurred around 1pm – comes only two days after Islamic State (IS) called for suicide attacks in Bangladesh, and one day after two militants of New JMB group blew themselves up to evade arrest by the Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit during a raid in Chittagong’s Sitakunda.
