A team of the police’s bomb disposal unit on Saturday entered the militant den in Sitakunda, where the law enforcers conducted a raid on Wednesday, and found a black bag full of handmade bomb-like materials.
Later, the team recovered the bag and started examining if the bombs were alive, police said.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Sitakunda circle) Rezaul Rahman Reza said: “We will take further initiatives as soon as the bomb disposal unit finishes their task.”
On Wednesday, four militants, including a woman, were killed in a raid on this building in Sitakunda. Two of them reportedly blew themselves up to evade arrest. Later, police found the body of a child with the woman.
In a separate raid, two militants were captured alive from another hideout in neighbouring Namarbazar in Sitakunda on Tuesday.
