4 cases filed over Sitakunda raids

Four cases have been filed in connection with the raids conducted at two militant hideouts in Chittagong’s Sitakunda upazila. Sitakunda police filed the cases on Thursday night. Chittagong Superintendent of Police Nur-e-Alam Mina told the Dhaka Tribune: “Two cases were filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act, one under the Arms Act and the other was filed for attempted murder of police officials.” However, he did not mention the number of people named in the cases.

Four militants, including a woman, were killed in operation "Assault 16" at a building in Sitakunda on Thursday. Later, police found the body of a child with the woman. On the other hand, two militants were captured alive from another hideout in neighbouring Namarbazar in Sitakunda on Wednesday.
