Five found dead in a day

The deceased were Nira Dhuli,65, Askan Ali,67, Samad Molla,45, Kalam, 30, and Zahida,70. Monirul Islam, OC of Bagatipara police station said the body of Nira had been recovered from a mango orchard of Chokgoas village and the body of Askan had been recovered from Dev-Nagar. Swapan, son of Nira said Nira went to Tamaltala Bazar on Friday afternoon and did not return home. Later, locals found the body and informed the police. Askan might commit suicide over family dispute, said police. Nasir Uddin Mondol, OC of Singra police said the bodies of Kalam and Jahida were recovered from Jolarbata area in the afternoon. They might have been killed in road accident, he said. Mostafa Kamal, OC of Naldanga police said there had a long standing conflict between AL leaders  Khalilur Rahman Mridha and  Shohrab Hossein over 11 acres of Khash in the area. A clash held among the followers of the two groups when Shohrab’s men went to the area.
