Two PBCP outlaws held in Chuadanga
The two arrested are Matiar and Nahid. Matiar, son of Moiruddin Mandal, is from Natipota and Nahid, son of Bazlur Rahman, is from Kasba village in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district. After a brief interrogation, they revealed the location of their hidden weapons. Police followed up on their information and found a local-made gun and five bullets hidden in a lychee garden belonging to a local Awami League leader Momin Master. Damurhuda police Officer-in-Charge Abu Zihad said they arrested the duo based on a tip that PBCP cadres were holding a secret meeting in a village field. The two are also accused in a number of cases ranging from extortion to murder, the OC added.
