SP WIFE KILLING: Court to frame charge in arms case on Nov 13

The court of Metropolitan Session Judge Md Shahe Nur fixed the charge framing date rejecting the bail prayers of two accused — Ehteshamul Haque Bhola alias Bolaiya and his associate Monir Hossen. “The court fixed November 13 for charge framing in the arms case rejecting the bail plea of Bhola and Monir”, told Public Prosecutor Advocate Fakhruddin Chowdhury to Dhaka Tribune. Earlier Bakalia police submitted the charge sheet of the case implicating Bhola and Monir to the court. Bhola and Monir were arrested earlier on June 28 from city’s Bakalia area along with a 6.75 bore pistol and 0.32 revolver and six rounds of bullets, which police claimed to be used in gruesome Mitu murder in June 5. After their arrest, Detective Branch’s Assistant Commissioner (AC) Md Kamruzzaman also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the murder case had filed a case against the duo. Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, mother of two children, was brutally hacked and shot dead by three professional murderers near her house in Chittagong city’s GEC area on June 5 while she was taking her son to school bus. Former SP Babul Akter later filed a murder case accusing unidentified persons with Panchlaish Police Station in the following day which is being investigated by DB police. After the murder police arrested seven killers so far while two accused were killed, under police custody, in a gunfight with police on July 5. Apart from that two killers who took part directly into the killing gave their confessional statement under section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) before a court mentioning that Bhola had supplied the firearms and ammunition to them for carrying out the murder. The prime suspect of the murder case police informant Kamrul Islam Musa is on the run while police declared Tk five lakh bounty for his arrest.
