The Detective Branch (DB) of police submitted a charge sheet against realtor Nasir U Mahmood and Tuhin Siddique Omi in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
After completion of the investigation, DB Inspector Udoy Kumar Mondal submitted the 15-page charge sheet to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court, confirmed the court’s General Recording Officer (GRO) Sub-Inspector Md Farid Mia.
GRO Farid said police submitted the charge sheet on July 27, but it was disclosed on Saturday.
Inspector Mondal, also the case investigation officer, however, due to lack of evidence, dropped the names of three women who were arrested along with Nasir and Omi and were accused in the case filed at the Airport police station.
Police on June 14 had arrested Nasir, Omi and the three others in connection to a case filed by Dhallywood star Pori Moni over rape-murder attempt charges.
The next day, Airport police filed the case under the Narcotics Control Act against them as some 1,000 yaba pills, foreign liquor and beer were seized from them during their arrest.
