She was arrested in March for plotting subversion activities
The High Court has granted bail to BNP’s central executive committee member Nipun Roy Chowdhury in two cases.
The virtual bench of Muhammad Abdul Hafiz and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Wednesday.
Senior lawyers Zainul Abedin and Nitai Roy Chowdhury represented Nipun and her bail plea during the hearing, while Deputy Attorney General Harun Aur Rashid represented the state.
Advocate Nipun was arrested on March 28 from her home in Dhaka’s Rayerbazar area on charges of subversion, after a recorded phone call -- in which she was heard instructing to set cars on fire -- went viral on social media.
A case was also filed against her at Hazaribagh police station in this regard.
Nipun was also shown arrested in another case filed by Jatrabari police on charges of illegal assembly, serious injury and attempted murder.
