Some courts were earlier directed to continue proceedings on any two days of the week
The Supreme Court has stayed its earlier decision to continue the court proceedings in limited fashion.
Three circulars, published on Saturday, said the decision to open the chamber court of Appellate Division and one bench of the High Court will stay till April 27.
The decision for the subordinate courts were also stayed until further notice. They were earlier directed to continue proceedings on any two days of the week.
The circular also said a full court bench meeting would be held via video conference on April 26 with the presence of justices from both divisions of the supreme court.
The decision comes after Dhaka and Chittagong district lawyers association appealed to the chief justice to not continue the court proceedings during the holidays.
The chief justice also held discussion with the justices and senior lawyers in this regard.
