A Tangail court on Friday accepted remand plea against three cops and one informant in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
They were earlier arrested with 25 yaba pills while trying to plant the contraband pills on an individual in the Sakhipur upazila on Thursday.
Senior Judicial District Magistrate Shamsul Alom passed the order after the police produced the accused before the court with a five-day remand plea.

The accused who were remanded are Assistant Sub-Inspector Reazul Islam, Constables Gopal Saha and Rasel of the Bastail outpost in the Mirzapur upazila. Their informant is Hasan.
According to the case statement, the five police members of the Bastail outpost of the Mirzapur upazila and their two informants detained a man named Bazlu Mia at the Sakhipur’s Gabilar Bazar area . Later they tried to plant the yaba pills on him.
Finding no other way, Bazlu screamed out loud and locals came to rescue him and beat the cops up.
After being informed of the matter, a joint team of Mirzapur and Sakhipur police station reached the spot and managed to arrest the three cops and one informant with 25 yaba pills.
Constable Halim, Mozammel and another informant Al Amin are on the run.
Early Friday, Sakhipur police station Sub Inspector (SI) Aynul Haque filed a case against the seven under the Narcotics Control Act for the misdeed.
