Earlier on June 18, court granted six months bail to her in the two cases
The High Court has extended BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's bail for a year in two defamation case.
The bench of Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo passed the order following two separate petitions on Monday.
Barrister Kaiser Kamal accompanied, with others lawyer, stood for the petition.
Earlier on June 18, the same bench granted six months bail to her in the two cases.
One of the cases was filed in 2014, for allegedly hurting religious sentiments while the other case was filed in 2016 for criticizing Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Khaleda has been in jail since she was convicted in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case on February 8, 2018.
Later in the same year, she was also convicted in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case, though her party claims both cases were politically motivated.
The BNP chief has been receiving treatment at the BSMMU since April 1.
