A Sunamganj court has again placed murdered child Tuhin Hasan’s father on five-day remand in connection with the gruesome murder.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Shyam Kanto Sinha passed the order on Monday.

The court also put Abdul Mosabbir and Jamshed Ali—two uncles of the victim -- on three-day remand.

Derai police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) KM Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

Earlier on October 18, the three were sent to jail after completing their three-day remand each.

Meanwhile, Tuhin's uncle Nasiruddin and cousin Shahriar gave statements before a Sunamganj court confessing their involvement with the murder.

On early hours of October 14, Tuhin's mutilated body was found hanging from a tree nearby his house at Kezaura village of Derai upazila in Sunamganj.

The murderers stabbed Tuhin, slit his throat, and mutilated his ears and private parts.

The killers also left two knives they had used to kill him, jammed in his abdomen.

Monira Begum, mother of the victim, filed a murder case accusing 10 people on October 15.

Later on, the district's Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman, at a press conference, said that they found the involvement of several family members with the murder.

“Tuhin was murdered only to implicate their rivals in the case,” he told the press conference.

The news of the murder and photos of Tuhin's body soon went viral on social media, drawing condemnation from the netizens.
