Another accused in the Abrar Fahad murder case, Md Moniruzzaman Monir, has given his confessional statement.
He gave the statement in front of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sorafuzzaman Ansari under section 164 on Tuesday, reports BSS.
After recording his confessional statement, the court sent him to jail.
Earlier on October 8, the same court placed Samsul Arefin Rafat, who was held in the Jhigatola area of Dhaka, over his involvement in the murder case, on a four-day remand.

Investigating officer of the case, and Inspector of the Detective Branch (DB) of police, Wahiduzzaman produced Rafat before the court and pleaded for a seven-day remand, upon which the court granted him a four-day remand.
The same court also sent another accused, Md Akash, to jail on Tuesday.
All three of them had been placed on separate remands before; on October 9, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain placed each of them on a five-day remand, after police pleaded for a 10-day remand.
Earlier in the day, DB arrested accused ASM Nazmus Sadat, from Katla Bazar area under Birampur area of Dinajpur district.
As of Tuesday, 20 people have been detained for their involvement in the Abrar murder case.

Abrar, a second year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of the university, was beaten to death on October 7.
Some Chhatra League leaders have been accused of mercilessly torturing him for hours and beating him to death, after accusing him of being involved with Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
On the same day, Abrar's father Barkat Ullah filed a murder case with Chawkbazar police station.
Abrar’s death sparked strong protests across Bangladesh. The protesters have demanded justice for Abrar and capital punishment for the murderers.
