Three witnesses gave statements before a Naryanganj court yesterday in three extortion cases filed against Nur Hossain, a death row convict of the sensational Narayanganj seven murder case.
Additional District and Session Judge Sheikh Rajia Sultana recorded the witnesses’ statements, in presence of all the accused of the case, said Jasmin Ahemed, additional public prosecutor of the court
Defendants were represented by Advocate Khokon Saha.
The three cases were filed against Nur Hossain, his brother Nur Uddin and niece Shah Jalal Badol, with the Siddhirganj Police Station over extortion in 2013 and 2014.
Jasmin Ahemed, additional public prosecutor said: ''The court recorded testimonies of six witnesses in three cases among eight cases filed against Nur Hossain, his brother Nur Uddin and niece Shah Jalal and set the next hearing date for 5 January.''
