A Dhaka court on Thursday ordered the officer In-charge of Hazaribagh police station to investigate whether or not Abu Sayeed, who has returned home alive on August 29, is the same person who had been claimed to have been murdered in 2014, and asked to submit a report on September 22.

The acting Judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, Dhaka-5 Begum Samsunnaher issued the order when police presented Abu Sayeed, and his parents before the court.

On Sunday, the lawyer for the accused in the Abu Sayeed murder case informed the court that Abu Sayeed has never been murdered, and appealed to the court to have Sayeed presented before the court.

Following the court order police brought Abu Sayeed, and his parents before the court on Thursday, while the accused persons of the so called murder case, Sonia Akter, Afzal Hosain, and Saiful Islam were also present in the court.

The Court asked Abu Sayeed, if he is the real Abu Sayeed or not? Sayeed said, he is the real Abu Sayeed. In 2014, he went to Sripur upazila in Gazipur district from Hazaribagh, as he did not want to study further. All these days he had been working as a Bus-Leguna helper, and had no contact with his parents. On August 19, he came back to Hazaribagh.

The court again questioned him whether he had not wanted to meet his parents during his stay in Sreepur.

Abu Sayeed did not give any reply to the court for this question.

Later, Md Azam, father of Abu Sayeed who was in the court said that the boy is Abu Sayeed, and their son.

Md Wahiduzzaman Liton, lawyer for Sonia Akter told the court that Miraj is the main conspirator of this so called Abu Sayeed murder case, and Md Azam, father of Abu Sayeed, and Sonia's former husband are relatives.
