Sayedee was present during the charge framing
A Rajshahi court has framed charges against convicted war criminal Delwar Hossain Sayedee, and 103 others in a case filed over the murder of Rajshahi University student Faruk Hossain.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Additional Session Judge Enayet Kabir Sarkar framed the charges on Thursday.
Faruk Hossain, a final year student at the university’s Mathematics Department and a Bangladesh Chhatra League hall unit activist, was reportedly hacked to death by members of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, on February 8, 2010.
Later, his body was dumped in a manhole on the campus.
Sayedee was present during the charge framing.
On July 30, 2012, the-then Rajpara police station officer-in-charge and also the investigation officer of the case Zillur Rahman submitted charge-sheet before Rajshahi Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, accusing 110 Jamaat and Shibir men, including Jamaat leaders Motiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahsan Mujahid and Delwar Hossain Sayedee.
