Rajib died after his hand got stuck between two buses in Dhaka last year

A Dhaka court has set August 22 for submitting probe report in the case lodged over death of Rajib Hossain, who died after his hand got stuck between two buses.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari fixed the date on Monday as investigation officer failed to submit the report, reports BSS.

On April 3, 2018, the third-year student of Government Titumir College lost his right hand after it became stuck between two speeding buses of BRTC and Sajan Paribahan, which were trying to overtake each other in Bangla Motor area in Dhaka.

Rajib died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 17, after two weeks in a coma.

On May 8, the Court ordered the bus companies to pay Tk1 crore to Rajib's family as compensation. BRTC and Sajan Paribahan challenged the order.
