A bus of Suprobhat Paribahan ran over Abrar and Synthia on March 19  

Detective Branch (DB) of Police has submitted two charge sheets against six people in the cases filed over Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury’s death, and for the “attempted murder” of Synthia Islam Mukta.

The six accused are owner of Suprobhat Paribahan Noni Gopal Sarker, driver Mohammad Sirajul Islam, conductor Yasin Arafat, helper Md Ibrahim, route president MD Alauddin and director Ashrafuddin.

DB police submitted the charge sheets before Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday.

A bus of Suprobhat Paribahan ran over both of them in two separate incidents on March 19.  

DB police Inspector Kazi Shariful Islam, also the investigation officer of Abrar’s case, submitted the charge sheet on Wednesday.

Sheikh Rokibur Rahman, general recording officer of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

DB police pressed charges against Yasin, Noni Gopal, Alauddin and Ashrafuddin in Abrar’s murder case while all six of them were named in the charge sheet of Synthia’s case.

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) student Abrar was run over by a Suprobhat Paribahan bus on March 19, as he was trying to cross the road in front of Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka.

It was later learned that the same bus had struck Synthia Islam Mukta earlier that morning, leaving her seriously injured and crushed Abrar as it was trying to flee the scene of the first incident.
