A legal notice has been sent to former ministers, cabinet members, and secretaries to leave their government-provided houses.

Barrister M Humayun Kabir Pallab—along with four other Supreme Court lawyers— sent the notice to the respondents via the postal service on Monday.

Different government offices and employees are set to receive this notice.

The speaker of the National Parliament, the principal secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Directorate of Government Accommodation—among other government officials and offices—will be receiving the notice regarding vacating government properties.

Commenting on the notice issue, Barrister M Human Kabir Pallob said: "Respondents to the notice will have to take necessary steps within 24 hours.

"Otherwise a writ will be filed with the High Court in this regard."
