Eleven people have so far been arrested in the gang-rape case
One more accused in the case filed over the gang rape of a woman in Noakhali's Subarnachar upazila confessed to his involvement in the incident before a court on Monday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Nabanita Guha recorded the statements of Murad, 25, son of Rafiq at Char-modhya Baigya village of Charjubilee union under the upazila, said Jakir Hossain, inspector of district Detective Branch of police.
Police arrested Murad from a brickfield in Chatarpya area of Senbag upazila on January 6.

Earlier, a total of seven accused persons confessed to the gang-rape.
On Sunday, the seven accused, Sohel, Jasim, Badshah Alam Basu, Ruhul Amin, Hasan Ali Bhulu, Swapan, and Bechhu, were placed on a five-day remand in the case.
Eleven people have so far been arrested in the gang-rape case.
The woman, a mother of four, was gang-raped at Charjubilee village in the upazila on December 31 by a gang of 10-12 people, allegedly being ordered by Ruhul Amin to carry out the rape immediately following the general election.
